Vancouver Whitecaps FC hosted their Annual Season Kickoff Party

On Thursday, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC hosted their Annual Season Kickoff Party, an event that brought together fans, players and club staff in a vibrant celebration of the upcoming season. The evening provided a unique opportunity for supporters to connect with one another, share their excitement and build momentum leading up to the first match.
Attendees were among the first to get their hands on the brand-new team kit, an exclusive chance to purchase and showcase their support before the official season launch. Fans also had the privilege of meeting both returning and newly signed players, offering a glimpse of the squad that will take the field this year. Additionally, the event introduced Jesper Sørensen, the team’s new head coach, allowing supporters to engage with the fresh leadership and hear about the club’s vision for the season ahead.
Tos and Sarita did a fantastic job as emcees for the night. Tos was modelling the Black History Month Kit that many supporters wanted to get their hands on. Such a great looking kit designed in collaboration with acclaimed local artist Anthony Joseph.

The atmosphere was fun, with drinks and snacks available for everyone to enjoy while mingling with fellow fans. Various supporter groups were present, each eager to welcome new members and share their passion for the Whitecaps. Whether attendees were lifelong Whitecaps supporters or newcomers to the community, the event provided an inclusive and exciting environment to celebrate the team’s journey.

One of the highlights was Bunny’s newest donation of her amazing crocheted creations, this one being Ryan Gauld’s likeness wearing a kilt. Bunny has donated many of her creations over the seasons and we always look forward to seeing what she creates next.
There was a booth setup where other Whitecaps fans and supporters could learn about some of the Supporter Groups as well. The Albion, RainCity Brigade, the Sisters and the Southsiders were all there sharing the space together. It’s always great to grow your membership and have a chance to reach new Whitecaps fans and supporters.
The Annual Season Kickoff Party was a night filled with enthusiasm, camaraderie and anticipation for the season ahead.
